IMHO the purpose of a shredder is to shred. Other comparably priced machines cut paper into long strips or cross-cuts large enough to read. This machine cuts paper or credit cards into tiny bits. It only handles 4-5 sheets of paper at a time so it’s best for a small office or home use. If you care more about how it matches your decor than how it works, it’s basic black and goes with anything. The basket removes easily to empty and the machine can be locked for safety if you have small children around. It’s light and the wheels and telescoping handle make it easy to move around (although I don’t have the need). I’ve only had mine a few weeks so it remains to be seen how durable it will be in the long run. But it seems solid and well made. If the reason you want a shredder is for security this one is a bargain.

I liked my shredder (Royal SP60MC) so much I bought one for my mother after her old one gave out. Love the pull out drawer for emptying the shreds. It is great not having to lift off the motor. Ordered this from the Price Pro. The one I go my Mom cost less than the one I had purchased at Circuit City years ago. Ordered it on Thursday and it was delivered to her on Friday! Great product, Great price, Exceptionally fast delivery. It isn’t super quiet, but it does a great job with credit cards and all the paper that I have thrown in it.

A great little shredder. Very little noise. Efficient, modest size and easy to move around. Am in a small apartment so sound and size very important to me as well as portability. Just wonderful! Looked around for many months before I found this one. Seller prompt and efficient. Shreds to teeny, curled type pieces that can never be put together – never! Great security! Haven’t had it long ennough to rate endurance but it looks like that will also be 5 stars. Shredded about 3 shopping bags full so far. I do not put more than 4 sheets in at a time and try to keep it at 3 or less even tho it will take 6.

This shredder is probably the most reliable micro cut shredder for the price. -That being said there are some problems with it:
1.) Shredding constantly (6 pages at once) overheats the machine and causes it to run slower, which will eventually jam the shredder, causing the reverse function to fail, so you have to wait ~ 5-8min. for it to start working again, so you can un-jam the shredder.
2.) Some parts of the machine are made kind of cheap and probably could’ve been designed better… (talking about the waste basket that drops small shredded pieces through to the bottom of the shredder. The design for removal and insertion of the shred bin could’ve been designed better….
3.) When shredding pages occasionally (about every 1 in 25 pages) almost 98.5% of the page is micro cut and the other 1.5% is long pieces in the bin which missed the micro cut I think these are pieces which are feed from the sides of the machine, which could be a security issue… (an important factor for me)
4.) I wish that the shredder could shred 12 pages instead of 6, because many of times I am in a rush and it is a hassle to separate 6 pages each time you shred.
I would definitely say that this is a light-medium duty shredder, great for the average person shredding some paper every once in a while but this is definitely not for the heavy user who shreds more than 6 pages at once or the person that will fill up the shred bin more than 2x in 1 hour. I am pleased with my purchase though and if you can over look the things I mentioned above, this might just be the shredder for you.
For those of you considering a different brand of shredder after reading my review I highly recommend Fellow’s Shredders, for reliability and longevity- but don’t be expecting a low price tag.
